There are three typical proverbs to get out of the maze.

迷路から抜け出す代表的な三つの諺があ

The first is  /一つ目は・・

Blind men comment on the elephant  /群盲象を評す

The second is /二つ目は・・

Can‘t see the FOREST for the trees  /木を見て森を観ず

The third is /三つ目は・・

The frog in the well does not know the ocean /井の中の蛙大海を知らず

The most understandable saying is /最も理解しやすい諺は・・

Blind men comment on the elephant  /群盲象を評す

The meaning is /その意味は・・

Blind men touch and comment on the elephant

 /群盲象を撫で語る

The saying goes that blind people touch a part of an elephant and argue that it is a true elephant.

盲人たちが象の一部を触って、それを真の象であると言い争っているという諺である。

The struggle of these blind people
Represents the conflict that occurs in one’s own heart

この盲人たちの争いは、
自分の心の中で起きる葛藤を表している。

The meaning of blind men symbolizes the appearance of our ego

群盲の意味は我々のエゴの姿を象徴している

The ego comes from our preconceptions, beliefs, colored glasses, delusions, feelings, devotion, and subjectivity.

そのエゴは我々の先入観・思い込み・色眼鏡・妄想・感情・信心・主観から来るものである。

This one elephant symbolizes the truth.

この一匹の象は真実を象徴している。

The truth can be known from the facts, the big picture, and the objective.

真実は事実・全体像・客観から知ることができる。

Each claim of the blind men represents a lot of information flying around.

群盲それぞれの主張はたくさんの情報が飛び交う姿を表す。

Much information comes from one’s own experience, knowledge, learning, faith, and brainwashing.

多くの情報は自分自身の経験・知識・学習・信仰・洗脳から生まれてくる。

The claim of blind men seems to label the other party as this.

群盲の主張は相手をこうだとレッテル化する様である。

Labeling these people comes from speaking, imposing, evaluating, ranking, and promoting.

こうした人をレッテル化することは話し方・押し付け・評価・ランク・宣伝することから起こる

There are a number of proverbs that describe these out-of-the-box humans.

こうした収拾のつかない人間を表す諺がいくつもある。

そのために

これらの諺も、されどとして、続きができてくる。

The frog in the well does not know the ocean

/井の中の蛙、大海を知らず

However, Knowing the blueness of the sky, and

Enjoying the falling petals and the shining moonlight

/されど空の蒼さを知り

花は散りこみ月は差し込むを楽しむ

Any knowledge can be extended to reverse knowledge.

どんな知見も逆の知見に広げられる。

This is because the knowledge itself exists relatively.

知見そのものが相対的に存在するからである。

This change of thinking is done on a daily basis.

この発想の転換作業は日常的に行われている。

Turn negative into positive,

    熱心を真実に向ければ良き伴侶になる

    恋は盲目
    however/されど
    Love is the beginning of life
    恋は命の始まり

  • Seeing is believing
    百聞は一見に如かず
    however/されど
    Doing builds confidence
    百見は一行に如かず

Even if you don’t realize the truth

for the rest of your life

If you go one step further to the truth

The truth makes you happy all day

真実を一生涯悟ずとも、

真実に一歩さらに進めば、

真実は一日貴方を幸福にする
